LGBT+ VC October events, special announcements

LETTER FROM LEADERSHIP
Hi friend,
October is LGBTQ History Month! During this month, we take time to honor our queer ancestors by celebrating them in the present. Our community hosts a rich legacy of accomplishment—led by trailblazing leaders and significant milestones that shaped the path toward equality from Stonewall to Silicon Valley.
One particular historical milestone we’d like to highlight is the formation of LGBT VC’s Legal Advisory Council. Our nonprofit has garnered a coalition of attorneys who are passionate about the needs of LGBTQ founders and investors. In the coming months, you’ll be hearing more from them.
We also want to celebrate your own personal histories and contributions to our community. We encourage you to share your coming out story, as we host a special showcase for New York Tech Week. We've already been moved by the stories shared so far.
Lastly, thank you to all for being a part of making LGBTQ history today. Your generous support of LGBT+ VC in our founding year has been nothing short of remarkable. Your gifts sustain our nonprofit’s work, and if you haven’t given yet please consider making a donation for LGBTQ History Month.
Best,
Tiana Tukes, co-founder of LGBT+ VC
